Air Force vs. Oklahoma Post-Game Notes (Sept. 18, 2010)
Team Notes
Today's game captains were Keil Bartholomew, Ben Cochran, Reggie Rembert and Jonathan Warzeka.
Air Force has now scored in 210 consecutive games, dating back to the 1992 Liberty Bowl (13-0 loss to Mississippi). AFA's streak is the fourth longest active streak in the country and the 15th longest in the history of the NCAA.
Air Force has scored a touchdown on its first drive of the second half twice in three games this season. AFA also scored on its first drive of the second half against Northwestern State.
Oklahoma's touchdown in the third quarter marked the first points Air Force has allowed in the second half this season. In three games, Air Force has allowed just 17 points in six second-half quarters this season.
Today's game marks the first time since Army last season that Air Force has not forced a turnover in the game, a streak of five straight games.
Individual Notes
Jefferson's 96 yards rushing today are a season high. His career-high of 99 came against UNLV in 2008. His 39-yard TD run in the third quarter is his longest of the season. His career long run of 45 came against BYU in 2008.
Jefferson's 36- yard punt in the second quarter was the first punt of his career. He had a career-best punt of 42 yards later in the quarter. Both ended up inside the 20.
Patrick Hennessey's sack in the first quarter was the first of the season and third of his career.
Zach Kauth had two catches on AFA's first drive, the first multiple catch game of his career. Kauth finished the game with career highs of three catches for 45 yards.
Jordan Waiwaiole has had a tackle for loss in every game this season. Waiwaiole's eight tackles today are a career high. His previous best was seven vs. BYU earlier this season.
Brian Lindsay has had a tackle for loss in every game this season. Lindsay had a career high seven tackles in the game. His previous best was five vs. Northwestern State earlier this season.
Brady Amack had a career-high 10 tackles today. His previous high was seven vs. Northwestern State earlier this season.
Jonathan Warzeka set a career high with 48 receiving yards and also tied a career high with three catches
Jared Tew had season highs of 21 carries for 93 rushing yards today. His career high of 173 yards came against Houston in the Armed Forces Bowl last season. His career high attempts of 27 came against Wyoming in 2007.
Anthony Wright tied his career high with seven tackles. He also had seven tackles vs. BYU in 2009.
P.J. Adeji-Paul had a career high five tackles in the game. His previous best was three vs. Minnesota in 2009.
Brandon Hirneise recorded the first catch of his career, a nine-yard reception.
