Team Notes
Today's game captains were Ben Cochran, Reggie Rembert, Tyler Schonsheck and Nathan Walker.
Air Force has now scored in 216 consecutive games, dating back to the 1992 Liberty Bowl (13-0 loss to Mississippi). AFA's streak is the fourth longest active streak in the country and the 14th longest in the history of the NCAA.
Air Force's 118 passing yards in the first half are a season high. The previous season high was 117 vs. CSU. AFA's 201 yards passing are the most since passing for 237 yards vs. Navy in 2007.
Individual Notes
Tim Jefferson's 201 yards passing yards today are a career high. His previous was 179 vs. Northwestern State earlier this season.
Jefferson's 48-yard punt in the third quarter was his ninth punt of the season. Seven of his nine punts have been downed inside the 20.
Jefferson's 59-yard touchdown run was the longest of his career. His previous long was 50 vs. Navy earlier this season.
Jefferson has rushed and passed for a touchdown in the same game for the third time this season and the fifth time in his career.
Tight end Chaz Demerath has caught a pass in seven of the eight games he has played in this season.
Fullback Nathan Walker's 24-yard run in the first quarter was a season high. His previous long this season was 18 yards vs. TCU. His career long run of 31 yards came against Nicholls State last season.
Jonathan Warzeka's rushing touchdown in the first quarter was his third of the season and his fifth score of the year. He also has a receiving touchdown and has returned a kickoff for a score.
Jamil Cooks' recovery of the onside kick in the first quarter is the first time this season the Falcons have recovered an onside kick.
Mikel Hunter tied his career high with two catches in today's game. His 53 receiving yards are the most of his career.
Anthony Wright's interception was his first of the season and the ninth of his career. His nine interceptions are tied as the most by an active Falcon (Rembert also has nine).
Brady Amack's 15 tackles are a new career high. He had 10 vs. Oklahoma earlier this season. The 15 tackles mark his second career double-digit tackle game this season. His 15 stops tie as the most by any Falcon this season. Jordan Waiwaiole had 15 vs. Navy.
Jordan Waiwaiole's 12 tackles mark the second time this season he has recorded 10 or more stops (15 vs. Navy).
Jon Davis' 12 tackles tie his career high. He also had 12 vs. CSU earlier this season. It is the third time this season, and the third time in the last four weeks, that he has had double digit tackles. He has had 10 or more in each of the last two games.
Anthony Wooding's eight tackles tie his career high set last week vs. TCU.
Kyle Halderman's 49-yard touchdown reception was a season-long. The play was the second longest pass by Jefferson this season. He had a 51-yard TD pass to Josh Freeman against CSU earlier this season.
Halderman's 67 yards receiving today are a season high.
