Michael Barnosky helped lead the Air Force men's swimming to a second-place finish at the Western Athletic Conference championships, Feb. 25-28, in San Antonio, Texas, tying the Academy's best conference finish ever. Barnosky won the WAC title in the 200 breaststroke with an NCAA "B" time of 1:56.89. school record. He set a new WAC overall, championship and school record with a 53.11 in the 100 breaststroke as he won the event with an NCAA "B" standard. He also finished third in WAC in 200 IM with a time of 1:48.39.
Barnosky was part of two relay teams that set school records as well. The 200 medley relay team of Devon Davis, Barnosky, Ryan Dunne and Jordan Dahle finished third with a school-record time of 1:27.31. The 400 medley relay team of Davis, Barnosky, Dunne and George Frank was second with a school-record time of 3:11.69.
