Swimming (Session 1: June 8-13; Session 2: June 15-20) Parents and Young Swimmers (ages 10-18)
Thank you for considering the Falcon Swim Camp and Falcon High Altitude Training Camp for your swimmer this summer. We offer two distinct camps with different emphasis. Both our High Altitude Training Camp and the Falcon Swim Camp offer thorough analysis of stroke technique to include video analysis of the world's best swimmers along with video analysis of each individual camper.
The main difference between the camps is easily seen in the names. While both camps offer challenging training programs, Session 2, the High Altitude Training Camp, is best suited for experienced swimmers with a good year-round training base. Falcon Swim Camp offers instruction in all strokes. Daily video analysis of the world's greatest swimmers, filming of individual strokes and in-water training sessions based on ability level. Every swimmer should expect to be challenged mentally and physically. Swimmers should come to camp with a strong training base from their club or school team. High Altitude Training Camp offers an opportunity for swimmers to engage in a week of intense long-course training at 7200 feet. The emphasis of this camp is two strong training sessions per day. Individual filming and discussion of the latest trends in elite competitive swimming are included each day. Swimmers should come to camp with a strong background in high level USA club swimming.
Camp runs from 8:30am until 4:30pm with the exception of Friday which is a half day camp. Friday's session ends with a pentathlon competition starting at approximately 9:00am. The campers will be free to leave immediately following the completion of the meet and receipt of their camp packets. Swimmers should bring: suits, caps, towels and goggles to camp.
In addition, High altitude training camp participants should bring all of their normal training gear to include: pull gear, kick boards and (short) fins. High altitude training camp swimmers will also participate in dry land training so each camper should also bring clothing conducive to dry land training sessions. Again thank you for considering our Falcon Sports Camp. We are confident it will be a rewarding and fun experience for your young swimmer and will contribute to their future success in swimming.
