Welcome to the 2004 Falcon Soccer Camp. Campers will be grouped by age and skill level while maintaining a small ratio of athletes to coaches. Individual instruction will be given by all coaches in areas of technique and tactical development. Mornings are devoted to refining individual skills while afternoons are dedicated to game-type situations. We look forward to seeing you in June.
The items you will need to bring with you are the following:
- All your soccer gear
- Have a clean pair of socks and soccer socks for each day of the week
- Rain gear and warm clothes
- Baseball Cap or visor
- Sun block
- Broken in cleats
- Indoor shoes for the turf
- Nice clothes for dinner
- Swim suit and towel if you plan to swim in the evenings
- Money for snacks, video games, etc.
- Pajamas, shower thongs, sleeping bag and pillow
- Toilet articles (soap, toothbrush, shampoo etc.)
Do not Bring: large sums of money, valuable jewelry, alcohol or tobacco products, drugs or weapons.
Registration for resident campers and commuters will be at the cadet field house from 11:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on the Sunday prior to your camp. Every morning commuter campers should be dropped off in front of the Field House between 7:30 and 8:00am. We will have an escort there to bring them to the fields. For resident campers, you will be escorted down to the Soccer Fields every morning. Group photos and individual pictures will be taken Monday morning.
Each participant will be placed in a group based on age to start with. The coaches in each group will evaluate play on Monday morning and move campers up or down if they think the move will be beneficial to the camper.
Please let me know early in the week if the camper is not happy with the move. We will talk and decide what is best for the student. Campers will work on technique and tactics in the morning, play games each day in the early afternoon and the rest of the day is used to correct deficiencies. The GOALKEEPERS will be in their own group the entire week. However, they will join their age groups in the afternoon to play the games and on Thursday when we teach shooting.
The camp will conclude with tournament games on Friday at 11:00am and we will proceed with the awards ceremony. Awards will be given to the MVP of each group and four Camp MVP Awards for boys and girls. The ceremony will take place in the Soccer Stadium. It gives us great pleasure to have the opportunity to advance your skills and we look forward to having you at our camp.
Sincerely,
Lou Sagastume & Marty Buckley
