School mascots-- they're funny; they're wacky and they entertain us. And Capital One is celebrating these unsung heroes with the Capital One All-America Mascot Team.
Capital One invited all of the NCAA Division IA and IAA schools with football programs to nominate their mascots to be part of the team. The All-America Mascot Team is made up of 12 finalists selected from participating schools. Each of the team members will receive $5,000 to use toward scholarships for his or her school's mascot program. The National Mascot of the Year will receive a total of $10,000.The Academy's mascot-- The Bird -- is one of 12 finalists for National Mascot of the Year.
