Getting Here

Directions to the Cadet Ice Arena

The Cadet Ice Arena is located inside the Cadet Field House at the United States Air Force Academy.

From Interstate 25

Take I-25 to Exit 156 and enter the United States Air Force Academy through the North Gate.

Travel west on North Gate Boulevard toward Parade Loop.

Turn left onto Parade Loop.

Turn right onto Field House Drive.

Continue to the east parking lot of the Cadet Field House. The Cadet Ice Arena is located inside the facility.

Skating Rules

The Cadet Ice Arena is a family-oriented facility. Please follow all facility and skating rules to help provide a safe experience for everyone.

General Skating Rules

All skaters and coaches must pay before entering the ice surface.
No one is permitted on the ice without skates.
Skaters must remain on rubber floor matting when wearing skates off the ice. No skates are permitted in the bleachers.
All skaters must skate in the designated direction.
Carrying small children while skating is not permitted.
Sitting on the boards is prohibited.
Fighting, horseplay, bullying, foul language, stealing or inappropriate behavior is prohibited and may result in dismissal from the arena.
Food, drinks, gum, balls or litter are not permitted on the ice or in player bench areas.
Hockey sticks, gloves and pucks are not permitted during public skating.
Skating gliders may not be pushed into other skaters or used to provide rides.
No running with skating gliders.

Public & Freestyle Rules

Only qualified figure skating professionals who meet applicable U.S. Figure Skating requirements may provide instruction.
Doors to both hockey boxes must remain closed at all times.
Skaters may not enter the ice through the hockey boxes.
Skaters are not permitted in the hockey boxes.
Jumps higher than a double lutz are permitted only during freestyle sessions.
Personal music is not permitted during public sessions unless being used as part of a lesson.
Skaters should remain aware of other participants and follow instructions from Cadet Ice Arena staff.

Help Keep the Ice Safe

Please follow all posted facility rules and instructions from Cadet Ice Arena staff while visiting the rink. Unsafe or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the ice or facility.
