HIGH SCHOOL: Cedar High School…member of the 4x400-meter relay that won the UHSAA 4A state championship in 2026…also ran on the 4x800-meter relay that placed third at the state meet that year…member of the 4x800-meter relay that finished second in 2023…four-time UHSAA state track and field qualifier…voted Most Dedicated Cross Country Athlete by her teammates twice (2022, 2024)…graduated with an unweighted 4.0 GPA…National Merit finalist…dual enrolled throughout high school and graduated with a high school diploma and associate’s degree…ranked first in graduating class.

PERSONAL: Full name is Isabel Avery Illian…goes by Izzy…daughter of Travis and Karen Illian…both parents competed in collegiate athletics (father: football at Texas Lutheran University, mother: track and field at Florida State University)…has one younger sister…planning to major in biology and earn a minor in Chinese…future plans include working in the intelligence field…enjoys running, lifting, reading, playing viola, watching track and field, and spending time with friends and family…has traveled to 40 of the 50 states, with a goal to get to all 50…grandfather, David Rademeyer, was a member of the basketball team at the University of Tulsa…both great-grandfathers served in the U.S. Navy – one in World War II and one in the Korean War…first female in family to serve in the military…would like to add that “I’m thankful to God to be able to run, compete, and go to school at the United States Air Force Academy”…loves Chipotle, ice cream, and vanilla milkshakes…family is very important…credits her mother with having the biggest influence on her athletic career…member of Cadet Squadron 40.
