JUNIOR YEAR | 2025: Competed in three meets, including the conference and regional championships…clocked a career-best 6K time of 21.26.4 at the Mountain West Championships (42nd)…opened the season with a top-50 finish at the Bill Dellinger Invitational (21:48.8)…added a 23:06.7 finish at the NCAA Mountain Regional…academic all-conference selection.

SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2024: Raced in five meets, including the conference and regional championships…posted a personal-best 6K time of 21:46.0 at the Gans Creek Invitational, finishing within the top half of the 330-runner field (118th)…added a 21:49.0 finish at Pre-Nationals to finish 88th out of 213 runners…claimed a top-40 finish at the Mountain West Championships (22:04.3, 36th)…also competed at the NCAA Mountain Regional, posting a time of 22:14.4 (104th)…opened the season with a third-place finish at the Air Force Classic, completing the three-mile course in 17:51.0…academic all-conference selection.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2023: Competed in three Colorado-based meets…made collegiate debut at the Air Force Classic, clocking a three-mile time of 18:55 to finish ninth…picked up a top-20 finish (17th) at the UCCS Open after posting a 5K time of 18:28.1…Falcons’ No. 3 finisher at the Roadrunner Invitational, clocking a 6K time of 23:56.15 to finish 24th out of 79 runners and help Air Force to a third-place finish…academic all-conference selection.

MAJOR TRACK AND FIELD HIGHLIGHTS: NCAA Outdoor Qualifier in the 800-meter run as a junior…set Air Force Records in that event during both the indoor (2:05.40a) and outdoor (2:03.14) seasons of 2026…holds all three Air Force Class Records in that event…three-time all-Mountain West for 800 meters…led off two record-setting 4x800-meter relays at the Drake Relays (2024, 2026)…also ran on the 4x400-meter relay that set an Air Force Record (3:41.09) in 2024…earned the program’s Newcomer of the Year award in 2024.

HIGH SCHOOL: South Lyon East High School…claimed Michigan D1 all-state honors in the 800-meter run (third-place finish in 2023) and pole vault (fifth-place finish in 2021)…two-time conference champion as a senior (800-meter run, 1600-meter run)…four-year varsity letterwinner in both track and cross country…named the 2022-23 South Lyon East Athletics’ Female Athlete of the Year…holds school records in the 400-meter dash, 800-meter run, 1600-meter run, high jump and pole vault, as well as the cross country 5K…ran on the 4x800-meter relay that posted a school record…graduated with a 4.1 GPA…earned academic honors every year…named to the Principal’s List all four years.

PERSONAL: Full name is Liliane Laura Aittama…nickname is Lili…daughter of John and Erica Aittama…father served in the Army…mother was a member of the track and cross country teams at Western Michigan University…has one older sister…majoring in geospatial science…future plans include becoming a pilot…named to the Superintendent’s List for excellence in military, athletic and academic performance…currently serving as the A1 Lead and as a Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) rep…earned Jump Wings in the summer of 2024…began running in first grade with Girls on the Run…served as a LEO during Basic Cadet Training over the summer, assisting with the accountability and flow of basic cadets…also served as a deputy of the Ops program, partnering with the Air Force / Space Force Ops commanders to ensure the Class of 2028 had a smooth program across the country and overseas…member of Cadet Squadron 22.
