JUNIOR YEAR | 2019: All-American...all-region and all-conference selection...became just the fourth Air Force female to collect Division I All-America honors after registering a 6K time of 20:46.2 to finish 39th out of 254 runners at the NCAA Championships...helped Air Force to an eighth-place finish at the national meet...recorded a career-best time of 20:09.5 to earn a top-10 finish at the NCAA Mountain Regional (10th) and capture all-region accolades...earned first-team all-conference honors following a fourth-place finish at the Mountain West Championships (20:13.3)...was the Falcons’ top finisher at the Nuttycombe Invitational...clocked a time of 20:23.7 to finish 22nd out of 243 runners at that meet...also scored for Air Force at the Bill Dellinger Invitational, using a time of 20:23.0 to finish 17th out of 141 runners...opened the season with a third-place finish at the Air Force Open (three-mile time of 17:52.8)...earned the team’s Comeback Award.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2017: Competed in five meets, including the conference and regional championships...finished 30th out of 133 runners at the NCAA Mountain Regional after posting a 6K time of 21:01.6...clocked a career-best 6K mark of 20:55.2 at the Nuttycombe Invitational to finish 63rd out of 227...added a time of 21:49.5 to place 26th at the Mountain West Championships...made collegiate debut at the Colorado State Invitational, clocking a 5K time of 18:36.8 (23rd)...also ran that distance at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational, finishing 41st out of 162 runners (17:11.7).
MAJOR TRACK AND FIELD HIGHLIGHTS: Academy record holder in the mile...broke own program standard during a runner-up, altitude-adjusted 4:40.49 performance at the 2020 Mountain West Indoor Championships...first broke the Academy record during a third-place finish at the Iowa State Classic (4:41.65)...earned the program’s Outstanding Performer award in 2020...named Newcomer of the Year in 2018...also listed among the program’s all-time standings in the indoor 3000-meter run (9:34.50a, fifth), outdoor 5000-meter run (16:34.23, seventh) and outdoor 1500-meter run (4:26.89, eighth)...member of two of the program’s top-three outdoor relays (4x1600-meter relay, distance medley).
HIGH SCHOOL: Roseburg High School...made 10 event appearances at the state track and field championships...competed in the 800-meter and 1500-meter events, as well as running on the 4x400-meter relay squad twice...finished third in the 1500-meter run as a junior at the Oregon 6A State Championships...received the track team’s MVP award all four years.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Doug and Teresa Norris...nickname is “Hala”...has three siblings (one older, two younger)...majoring in geospatial science...future plans include becoming a RPA pilot or air traffic controller...has served as Element NCO, Element Leader and Support Clerk...named to the Athletic Director’s List...attended the Academy’s Prep School...named Outstanding Female Cadet Candidate in Fitness...hobbies include hiking, driving around, watching movies, hanging out with friends, drowning (swimming) and sleeping...completed the Academy’s Powered Flight course over the summer...member of Cadet Squadron 15.
