All Air Force Academy home and away intercollegiate athletic events will be held as scheduled during the government shutdown. Funding for these events, along with travel/logistical support will be provided by the Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation (AFAAC). HIGH SCHOOL: Mountain View High School...member of the team that won the Virginia AAA state championship in 2009...ran the anchor leg for the 4x800-meter relay team that placed third at the outdoor championships in 2011...finished fifth at VHSL AAA state championships in the 800-meter run (1:54.33)...earned all-area (Fredericksburg) for cross country...International Baccalaureate[apos]s Program...graduated with a 3.88 GPA...served as class president during sophomore and junior years...class historian during senior year. PERSONAL: Full name is Ronnie Jared Elly...nickname is 'Jelly'...son of Ronnie and Wynn Elly...father is a 1986 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and retired as a lieutenant commander...has two older sisters, Kaila and Mariah...also has a younger sister, Bria...majoring in environmental engineering...future career plans include becoming a combat rescue officer...can cook numerous meals from shrimp scampi to cereal...also enjoys baking...member of Cadet Squadron 09.
