JUNIOR YEAR | 2022: Mountain West Runner of the Year…Mountain West champion…clocked a season-best 8K of 23:37.8 to become just the second Falcon to win the men’s title at the MW Championships…paced the men to a 1-2-3 sweep and their third-straight conference title…first-team all-conference selection…named Air Force Athlete of the Week following the conference meet…also scored for the Falcons at the Cowboy Jamboree (8K of 24:11.8, 56th of 250) and NCAA Mountain Regional (personal-best 10K of 28:38.0, 30th of 119)…clocked a 10K time of 30:10.0 to finish within the top 100 at the NCAA Championships (91st)…added an 8K time of 23:46.9 to finish 49th out of 245 runners at the Nuttycombe Invitational…earned the team’s Most Improved award.

SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2021: Second-team all-conference honoree…finished 10th at the Mountain West Championships after clocking an 8K time of 23:49.6…posted a career-best 23:35.8 to place 16th out of 149 runners at the Bill Dellinger Invitational…was the Falcons’ No. 2 runner at that meet…finished within the top half of the field at the Nuttycombe Invitational (24:37.0, 117th)…Falcons’ No. 3 runner at the NCAA Championships, following a career-best 10K time of 30:26.4 (129th)…added a 31:57.9 outing at the NCAA Mountain Regional (67th)…opened the season with a four-mile time of 20:15.6 at the Air Force Open (ninth).

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2020: Competed at the Mountain West Championships during the pandemic-shortened season…clocked an 8K debut of 24:23.7 to finish 20th.

MAJOR TRACK AND FIELD HIGHLIGHTS: NCAA Qualifier in the 1500-meter run as a junior…Mountain West champion in that event…clocked an Academy Record and Championship Meet Record time of 3:39.68 to lead Air Force to a 1-2 finish at the 2023 MW Outdoor Championships…also helped the Falcons to a 1-2 finish in the mile at the MW Indoor Championships that year…recorded the third-fastest mile in Academy history (3:59.33) at the 2023 David Hemery Valentine Invitational…added the second-fastest all-season time in that event (3:58.83) during a winning performance at the Music City Track Carnival that year…debuted on the program’s Top 10 in the indoor 5000-meter run (13:57.49) during 2023 opener in Boston…ran on two championship relays at the 2023 Drake Relays…anchored the winning distance medley relay and ran the second leg of the 4x1600-meter relay that clocked an Academy Record time of 16:23.31 during the win.

HIGH SCHOOL: Wheaton Warrenville South High School...two-time all-state selection in track...placed fourth in the 1600-meter run at the Illinois 3A State Championships as a senior...also accounted for a top-10 finish (seventh) in that event as a junior.

PERSONAL: Full name is Sean Robert Maison…nickname is “Lil Bob”...son of Robert and Jennifer Maison...has a twin brother Scott, who graduated from the Academy in 2023...also has one older sister (Natalie) and one younger brother (Allen)...majoring in management…future plans include becoming an acquisitions officer…aspiring master angler...attended the Academy’s Prep School...hobbies include playing video games, fishing, being outdoors, being indoors, playing 3x3 half court, hydration, swimming, and camping...member of Cadet Squadron 12.
