Sydney Smith of Abilene, TX, is member of the Cadet Squadron 21 Blackjacks, with plans to major in behavioral science with a minor in Portuguese. Prior to becoming a cadet at USAFA, she was a member of the Alpha Squadron at the USAFA Prep School. She was a member of the Cooper High School Cougarettes, and served as the Junior Lieutenant as well as the senior co-captain for the varsity dance team. Additionally, she was a company member of Abilene Ballet Theatre for a vast majority of her life, with annual performances in the Nutcracker, including Clara her freshman year of high school. She has performed at various places across the United States, including The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Universal Studios Orlando, and Disneyland. Upon graduating, she hopes to become either a pilot or aerospace physiologist!
