2015-16 (Freshman): Named Western Fencing Conference All-Conference ... was the individual men’s epee runner up at the NCAA Region Championships ... finished 14-13 at the Northwestern Duals ... 7-8 at the Western Invitational ... placed 11th at the Falcon Open in juniors ... second at the Amarillo Open in juniors and 10th in senior mixed ... tied for third place at the Nick Toth Open in seniors and won the junior men’s title.
Before the Academy: He competed in several fencing tournaments to include the international cadet World Cups … in 2014, at the Junior Olympics, finished in the top 16 … top 32 in juniors … has an A15 USFA epee rating … also played water polo in high school.
Personal: Member of cadet squadron 15 ... took up fencing because his parents thought it would be a good sport to do when I he was only 7 years old … parents are Andrew Sullivan and Marcy Michael … has two siblings … his grandfather served in the Air Force.
