PERSONAL: Member of cadet squadron 7 … daughter of Rick and Marisa Watrall … has two older sisters … considering foreign area studies major … future career plan is to make the World-Class Athlete Program (WCAP) in hopes of making the Olympics and then become an attache or intelligence officer … Why I decided to come to the Academy: “The Academy has opportunities that are offered nowhere else. It is a one of a kind place where you can meet so many people from different backgrounds. The Academy is a chance to become part of something bigger than myself. It was also the school that was the most out of my comfort zone so I was eager to push myself more in life and try things I’m scared of and have not yet tried. The Academy is not just any other school, it is one of a kind.” … hobbies are piano, art, sewing/designing clothes, baking, watching other sports and eating chicken wings … began fencing at five years old … credits her dad as having the biggest influence in her sports career because he truly just wants what is best for his kid … pre-competition superstition is to pray … dream vacation spot is Antarctica … guilty pleasure is the pizza across the street from the Fencers Club … favorite role models are Leo Curtis, her parents, Kat Holmes, Chris O’Loughlin, Gita Gandhi and Zoe Merrymen … something most people don’t know about her is that she doesn’t have any social media … enjoys listening to opera music, Brazilian jazz, Lady Gaga and The Red Hot Chili Peppers … favorite TV shows are Brooklyn 99 and Law and Order SVU … favorite movies are Rocky and Blades of Glory … favorite class subject is foreign language … favorite athletes are her dad, Danielle Langenmayr, Nick Foles, Kat Holmes, Chris O’Loughlin and Ana Maria Popescu.
