One of the most accomplished fencers in program history, 1st. Lt. Leanne Singleton-Comfort enters her fourth season as a volunteer assistant coach for Air Force fencing in 2023-24.

Singleton-Comfort recently completed her four years at the Academy, graduating with the class of 2020. During that time, she qualified for the NCAA's three times (four total, including one year at UC San Diego) and earned All-American honors three times. In addition, Singleton-Comfort is a two-time NCAA West Regional/Western Fencing Conference women's saber Champion (2017 and 2020).

In addition to her coaching duties, Singleton-Comfort will train at the Academy under the World Class Athlete Program (WCAP), where she is training to qualify for an spot on the United States Olympic team in hopes of competing at the 2024 Olympics.

Notable:

- Three-time All-American in saber (2018-19 & 2019-20 at Air Force and 2015-16 at UC San Diego).

- Is just the fifth women’s All-American and second in saber at Air Force.

- 195-46 all-time record at Air Force.

2019-20: Team Captain ... 2018-19: Competed in several NACs, but took remainder of season off from competition to preserve senior eligibility for 2019-20 season ... December NAC Saber Champion, going 11-0 in her bouts in Cincinnati ... placed 5th in Saber at January NAC in Charlotte.

2017-18 (Sophomore Academic/Junior competition): Posted 93-21 record ... 2019 All-American with 11th place finish at NCAA Championships (Third Team) ... won 13 bouts at NCAAs ... placed second at NCAA West Regional with 7-1 record ... went undefeated 19 times, including eight straight 3-0 bouts at one point in season ... placed third in senior women’s saber at Nick Toth Open ... placed 8th in women’s saber at October NAC ... placed 37th in women’s Div. I saber at December NAC ... placed 38th in women’s Div. I saber at January NAC ... finished seventh at USA Fencing Nationals, falling in semifinals to national champion Mariel Zagunis ... Team MVP.
