Vitalijs Kuceba

Vitalijs Kuceba enters his first season as an assistant coach with Air Force fencing in 2024-25. He will work with the foil group.
Kuceba is also a current member of the Latvian National Fencing Team, representing his country in international competitions since 2011. In 2018, he moved to the United States to pursue high education at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where he earned a Master of Arts in Graphic Design and Visual Experience in 2024.
Throughout his career, Kuceba has achieved impressive results on the global stage, with Top 10 finishes at the 2015 World Cup (4th place in men’s foil U20 teams, POL Leszno), 2016 World Championships (4th place in men’s foil U20 Teams, FRA Bourges), 2019 NAC (8th place in Div. I men’s foil, Charlotte, NC), in addition to competing at the 2018 World Cup (58th place in Men’s Seniors Individual, FRA Paris), 2019 World Championships (48th place in men’s seniors individual, HUN Budapest) and 2024 Grand Prix (56th place in men’s seniors, Washington, DC).
In addition to his fencing career and academic pursuits, Kuceba is a passionate music creator. Under the nickname “VeeKay”, he releases original songs, blending his artistic talent with his creative vision.
