2007-08: Junior Crystal Yang made great improvements last year in epee and will now compete on the women[apos]s saber team along with Angelica Plazas this year.
2006-07: Yang improved her skills on the women[apos]s epee team throughout the season ... at the Nick Toth Open she finished tied third in mixed epee tournament ... she steadily improved her season finishes with a second-place showing at the New Mexico Open and going on to win the women[apos]s event at the Falcon Open ... she had a combined dual meet record of 14-16 ... she concluded the season with a fifth-place finish at the West Regional tournament. 2005-06: Competed in the 2006 NCAA Western Regionals ... finished ninth ... served as team manager.
Before Air Force: Enjoys art, tennis, the violin and fencing ... earned two letters in tennis ... high school team won the San Antonio Championship and was CIF semi-finalists ... coached by Mr. Goosens ... mother[apos]s name is Mi Hwa Yang ... has two siblings, Erica and Lila.
Academy: In Cadet Squadron 35 ... major is civil engineering ... wants to become a civil engineer and an Air Force pilot.
