JUNIOR | 2021-22: Member of the 2021 400 free relay WAC Championship team ... took 12th overall at the Olympic Trials in the 50 free ... Academic All-WAC ... WAC Swimmer of the Week (Feb. 2) ... clocked a 19.97 in the 50 free for the fastest time on the team, fourth-quickest in the record book ... swam to a 43.58 in the 100 free for the fourth-quickest time on the team, seventh-fastest in program history ... registered a 22.73 in the 50 butterfly for the fourth-fastest time on the team, ninth in the record book ... clocked the second-quickest time on the team in the 100 fly (47.82) ... member of the 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 200 medley relay teams to set the fastest time on the team.

SOPHOMORE | 2019-20: Named to the Academic All-WAC Team…Member of the 2020 WAC Champion 200 and 400 free relay squads…Both relay teams set new school records…Also a member of the fastest 800 free relay team on the season…Had the teams second-fastest 50 free time (20.03), good for the sixth-fastest 50 time in Academy history…Also had the tied for fourth-fastest 100 free time (44.18) on the season, which is tied for ninth-fastest in program history…Placed tied for fifth in the 50 free and seventh in the 100 free at the 2020 WAC Championships…The 200 free relay team also won the title at the 2020 CSCSAA National Invite…Also placed fourth in the 50 free at the NIC…Named to the Dean’s, Comm’s, AD’s, and Supt’s lists.

FRESHMAN | 2018-19: Named to the Western Athletic Conference All-Academic Team…Had the team’s second fastest time in the 100 free (44.68) and 200 free (1:38.71), as well as the third quickest 50 free (20.47)…Was a member of the team’s top 200 free, 400 free, 800 free, and 200 medley relay squads…At the 2019 WAC Championships, placed 10th in the 200 free…Named to the Superintendent’s list both semesters.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Was a four year letterwinner for Osbourn Park High School, while also swimming club for Occoquan Swimming…Was named a team captain his senior year…Holds school records in the 50 and 100 free, as well as being a member of numerous record setting relays…Also holds the county record in the 50 free…Owns his club’s records in the 50, 100, and 200 free, as well as the 200 IM and several relays…Graduated fourth in his class, and was named a USA Swimming Academic All-American.

PERSONAL: Member of cadet squadron 37 where he is the Support Flight Chief and the Operations Flight Chief...Son of Scott and Jen Shepard…Has one older sibling, Jack, and one younger sibling, AJ…Majoring in mechanical engineering with hopes to become a test pilot…Hometown of Manassas is where the first major battle of the American Civil War occurred…Credits his club coaches as having the biggest influence on his swimming career as they “taught me what it means to commit to something and pursue it with a passion through hard work and determination.”…One of his hobbies is rebuilding Jeeps, and he rebuilt his first one at 14 years old.
