SENIOR YEAR | 2017-18: Named a team captain.
JUNIOR YEAR | 2016-17: Earned Second Team All-WAC honors in five events (200 free relay, 200 free, 100 free, 800 free relay and 400 free relay) … swam three all-time top-10 swims at Air Force, where he holds the second fastest 100 free (43.42) and 200 free (1:37.12) and the third fastest 50 free (20.10) … helped the 200 free relay (1:19.01), the 400 free relay (2:54.97) and the 800 free relay (6:25.52) set school records.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2015-16: Competed in four events…member of the 400 FR (2:56.33) … No. 4 team ranking in the 200 free (1:39.30).
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2014-15: Competed in five events … No. 4 team ranking in 200 free (1:38.38/No. 9 Academy all-time) … member of the 200 FR (1:19.51/No. 1 Academy all-time) and the 400 FR (2:55.11/No. 1 Academy all-time).
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Swam for coach Ben Bethune at Leigh HS … also swam for coach Andre Salles-Cunha on the Quicksilver Swimming.
PERSONAL: Member of cadet squadron 8 … son of John and Terri Hannigan with two younger siblings … C-2 element leader and assistant flight commander … plans to be a pilot or combat rescue officer after graduation … major is systems engineering with a computer science minor.
