2022 (Junior): Played in all 35 games ... scored 24 goals and had 31 points ... second on team with 21 drawn exclusions ... had 11 steals ... had season-high two goals in four games ... scored three points against Biola and Cal Baptist ... had two assists against Biola and Long Island.

2021 (Sophomore): Played in all 26 games and was sixth on the team with 21 goals and eighth with 26 points … tied for third on the team with 23 drawn exclusions … also had five steals and two field blocks on the season … matched his career high of four points against MIT and Iona … career-high four goals against MIT … career high two assists against Fresno Pacific.

2020 (Freshman): Played in two games … had a drawn exclusion against California Baptist and had a goal, a drawn exclusion and a steal against Pepperdine.

High School: Lettered four years in water polo and two in swimming … competed in the backstroke in swimming … water polo team captain and first-team all-league as a senior … USA Water Polo Academic All-American … all-CIF San Diego first team … played for the San Diego Shores club team … team placed third at the U.S Club Championships twice … two-time Junior Olympics third-place finisher in the Platinum Division … CIF San Diego Open Division champion … member of Spanish Honor Society … honor bar student all four years.

Personal: Member of cadet squadron 8 … son of Ellen and Ruben De La Cruz … major is economics … long-term goal is to be a pilot … is the morale, welfare and recreation officer in his squadron … this past summer, travelled to Moody AFB, Ga., and flew in an HH-60 helicopter and an HC-130 … spent time with the Combat Rescue Squadron and an A-10 fighter squadron … also worked Combat Survival Training.
