2018-2019 (Sophomore): Won bronze for air rifle at the 2019 NJOSCs in April ... made the National Junior Team ... earned berth to ISSF Junior World Cup ... scored an 1169 at the NCAA qualifier against TCU ... had a 577 smallbore and 592 in air rifle ... finished with an 1173 aggregate in the PRC Championships ... had a 583 in smallbore to earn all-conference ... shot a 590 in air rifle ... average score for the first half of the season was 1165 ... had a season high 592 in the air rifle ... highest season smallbore score was 583 ... competed in the 2018 Winter Air Gun ... ranked fifth in Men Junior finals ... 16th overall in the Men’s Air Rifle final ... ISSF World Cup, Suhl, Germany: had a score of 616.4, good for 29th place among 46 competitors, added to Team USAs final score of 1854.2 to finish in 12th place.

2017-18: Qualified for the 2018 National JOSC three-position men’s rifle in April ... finished 15th with a two-day score of 2273 ... finished 12th in the men’s senior championships with a 1222.2 ... at the Winter Air Gun Championships, he finished with a 1215.9 in the Junior event ... for the regular season, his high aggregate was 1169 versus Alaska and UTEP ... season highs for the air rifle was 591 first in October against Alaska ... the second came in February against UA and UTEP ... his high smallbore was 585 at the Kentucky, OSU, Nebraska match in November.

BEFORE THE ACADEMY: Parents are Steve and Page Peterson … father was a senior airman in the Air Force … has one brother ... attended East Coweta High School in Sharpsburg, Ga. … high school sport was rifle … athletic accomplishments included four varsity letters, three National JROTC National Championships … three-time Marine Corps JROTC national champion … fifth place individually at the 2017 JROTC National Championships … national kneeling 3x20 record holder … 2016 state championships … high school coach was Major (Ret.) Peter Merrill, USMC … academic accomplishments were the National Honor Society and high honors.
