FRESHMAN YEAR | 2017-18 – SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2018-19: Did not compete for the track and field team...member of the offensive line for the Air Force football team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Anadarko High School...threw shot put during junior and senior years...member of the football team...member of the 2013 Class 4A Oklahoma state championship team...also played on the 2012 team that finished second...member of four Class 4A District 2 championship teams...earned the district’s offensive lineman of the year as a senior...also named a Class 4A All-Star that year...2016 heavyweight state qualifier in powerlifting...served as president of the Anadarko FFA Club...earned the state FFA degree...class valedictorian.
PERSONAL: Full name is Kelby Wayne Bailey...nickname is “Kelbo”...son of Dannie and Ronda Bailey...has one older sister and a nine-year-old niece (“who is like a little sis”)...majoring in civil engineering...has served as an Element Leader for squadron...also held that position for Barbarian Bravo during the Basic Cadet Training...member of the 2020 USAFA Civil Engineering Concrete Canoe Team...Field Engineering Readiness Lab (FERL) Top Flight in 2019...attended the Academy’s Prep School...half-Native American...member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma...enjoys lifting weights (“most people like to ski and hike on the weekends, but you’ll more than likely find me at my favorite off-base gym on a Saturday morning”)...other hobbies include drinking coffee, hunting, fishing, and being involved with his church and local USAFA Christian group...traveled to Malmstrom AFB, Mont., for Operation Air Force over the summer...also completed the civil engineering FERL in Jack’s Valley, worked BCT and took an academic class...member of Cadet Squadron 07.
