HIGH SCHOOL: The Classical Academy...captured the state pole vault title at the 2019 Colorado 3A Championships...also placed among the top five of the state meet during freshman (fifth) and sophomore (third) seasons...member of two state championships teams (2017, 2018)...four-year varsity letterwinner in track and field...AAU regional age-group champion in 2019...also claimed age-group titles at the Colorado USATF State Championships and Region 10 USATF Championships in 2018...first-team academic all-state honoree...claimed four academic letters...member of the National Honor Society...Class Exemplar...won the TCA Hero Debate as a junior...three-year representative on the student council...two-time participant at the Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Steve and Bettina Willis...father is a 1987 Academy graduate...has four siblings...older sister, Erika, is a junior pole vaulter at the Academy, while older sister, Andrea, is a senior pole vaulter at the University of Kansas...currently undecided on a major, but looking at either biology or behavioral science...future plans include becoming a physical therapist...has competed in five different sports...hobbies include swimming, hiking and playing with dogs...one grandfather was a 1961 Academy graduate, while both served in the Air Force and retired with the rank of Major General...won the pull-up competition against all squadrons during Basic Cadet Training...member of Cadet Squadron 20.
