JUNIOR | 2020-21: Placed 14th in the 400 IM at the MW Championships ... swam the second-fastest time on the team in the 50 breast stroke (30.29) ... third-fastest time on the team in the 100 breast stroke (1:04.62) and 200 breast stroke (2:19.94) ... swam a personal season-best 2:08.57 in the 200 IM.
SOPHOMORE | 2019-20: Had the third-best season time on the team in the 200 breast (2:19.92)…Also the fourth-fastest team time on the year in both the 100 breast (1:03.91) and 400 IM (4:37.40) and the fifth-fastest in the 200 IM (2:07.24)…At the 2020 MW Championships, placed 19th in the 100 breast and 22nd in the 200 breast, scoring team points in both events…Named to the Comm’s and AD’s lists.
FRESHMAN | 2018-19: Had a pair of top-three team finishes in both breaststroke events, including the second fastest 100 (1:03.12) and the third quickest 200 (2:17.55)…The 100 time was the fourth best in program history, while the 200 time was the sixth best…Also had the team’s sixth fastest 200 IM time on the season (2:08.57)…Named to the Comms and Athletic Director’s list both semesters.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Swam club for the King Aquatic Club…Was a three-time All-American athlete, as well as a national qualifier in club action…Graduated in the top 10 percent of her class, and earned the Presidential Award…Was also the first chair in her high school’s orchestra.
PERSONAL: Member of cadet squadron 4 where she is the Character NCOIC…Daughter of Todd and Natalie Johnson…Has one sister, Clara…Majoring in foreign area studies with a political science track, while also minoring in Mandarin Chinese…Hopes to become an intelligence officer...One day hopes to return to USAFA as a professor...Nickname is Ev…Her greatest moments in swimming include making her first national cut, as well as winning senior sectionals this past spring with her club team…Lists her club coach, Doug Diang, as her greatest influence on her swimming career saying “His passion for swimming inspired me at a young age to see it as more than a sport. I fell in love with it immediately and I hope to do it for as long as I can.”…Had a great grandfather and a grandfather serve in the Navy, while two aunts, an uncle, and a cousin served in the Army…Hobbies include surfing, sleeping, and cuddling with her dog…Chose the Academy because “The opportunities and experiences offered at the Academy are greater than any other school in the world.
