PERSONAL: Member of Cadet Squadron 11…son of Curtis and Amanda McLaughlin…has three younger siblings…majoring in aeronautical engineering…future plans include becoming a pilot…hobbies include hunting, fishing, and anything outside…two uncles (Braden Bush, Aaron Bush) – were sprinters at Central Michigan University…competed on the Falcons’ track and field team as a freshman and sophomore, racing any distance between 60 and 800 meters…graduated from Morley Stanwood High School…state champion in the 800-meter run…seven-time all-state selection (four in cross country, three in track)…picked up top-10 finishes at the state cross country championships as a junior and senior…also competed on the basketball team, earning all-state honors as a junior…graduated with Highest Honors.
