USAFA Prep: Attended the Academy Prep school and wrestled for coach Alger.

High School: Lettered four years in wrestling ... coached by Jon Schmidtke ... three-time state champion ... two-time Fargo All-American ... placed fourth at the Super 32 ... also lettered two years in judo ... earned second and third-place state finishes in judo.

Personal: Member of cadet squadron 20 ... son of Cal and Karen Oshiro ... has an older brother, Brandon who wrestles at Maryville University.
