Ashley Usery serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at the United States Air Force Academy, joining the team in 2023. In this role, she acts as the compliance liaison for men's and women's basketball, gymnastics, men's water polo, track and field, cross country, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and the admissions team. Additionally, she provides secondary support to the football program.
With over 11 years of experience in athletic compliance, Usery has held significant positions at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and Texas Tech University. At Texas Tech, she was the Director of Compliance for women's basketball, track and field, and education. Her career in college athletic administration began as a graduate intern at the University of Florida, where she earned her master's degree in Sport Management in 2016.
Usery is a former scholarship track and field student-athlete at the University of Florida (2008-2012). During her time there, she contributed to her team's success in winning three conference championships (one outdoor and two indoor) and earned letters all four years. She holds an undergraduate degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences with a minor in Education, obtained in 2012.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Ashley was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
Usery was a high school girls' weightlifting coach and judge and coached boys and girls high school track and field in the state of Florida where she coached the boys team to a top 3 finish each year she was on staff. She led the girls weightlifting team to a state championship.
