Nick Gold currently serves as the Assistant Director of Development at the United States Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation. In this role, he helps drive philanthropic efforts to support Air Force athletic programs and cadet-athletes. He assists with annual fund efforts, donor retention, and major events such as A Night of Excellence, Hall of Fame, and the Falcon Classic Golf Tournament. Gold has a passion for connecting donors with causes they care about and is excited to build relationships through this role.
Prior to joining AFAAC, Gold spent 5+ years working for the USA Swimming Foundation where he oversaw donor stewardship and communications, event logistics, and Foundation Board activities. Gold had the opportunity to work events such as Olympic Team Trials, U.S. National Championships, the Make-a-Splash Tour, and more, fundraising for the Foundation’s mission of Saving Lives, Building Champions, and Impacting Communities.
Gold’s prior collegiate athletics experiences come from his time spent in the ticketing office of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, and in the Women’s Basketball Department of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Originally from Fairfax, VA, Gold graduated from Syracuse University in 2019 with a degree in Sport Management and moved to Colorado in 2020.
Outside of his professional life, Gold currently serves as the head coach of the boys lacrosse team at Air Academy High School and previously served as the boys director for Patriot Youth Lacrosse in Colorado Springs. Gold is passionate about the role sports plays in the development of young people and loves being a part of the Colorado Springs community.
