Taylor Jefferson

Taylor Jefferson is the associate athletic director for marketing at creative at the Air Force Academy. He began on Dec. 15 of 2025. Jefferson comes to the Academy after seven years as assistant athletic director for marketing and brand enhancement at Bowling Green State University, his alma mater.
Jefferson oversaw the marketing, video, and creative teams for BGSU. In his tenure, the Falcons’ athletic department saw increases in attendance, revenue and national attention, including the viral sensation Pudge the Cat and donning Pudge Security attire. In 2025, Falcon Football sold out its first game in over 20 years. Jefferson also helped BGSU sell out both games in men’s and women’s basketball for the first time in Stroh Center history.
Jefferson joined Bowling Green after five years as assistant director of athletics at Emory & Henry College. During his time in southwest Virginia, Jefferson was instrumental in building brand recognition for Emory & Henry Athletics. His work in graphic design, video production and marketing won five awards from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) in the past two years alone. Attendance at contests increased across the board with football crowds ranking in the top 10 nationally in three of the last four seasons.
Jefferson went to Emory & Henry in the fall of 2013 after spending two years at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn., where he served as the graduate assistant for athletic ticketing. He also had internships at ETSU where he worked closely with the athletic marketing and fundraising offices.
During his time with the Bucs, Jefferson was the primary contact for group sales and assisted with ticketing and game operations for the department’s 18 sports. He also helped increase student involvement through the BucWild club and aided the Buccaneer Athletic Scholarship Association in many fundraising efforts.
Prior to his time in Johnson City, Jefferson was an office assistant for ticketing and marketing at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania during the 2010-11 academic year. He spent the summer of 2010 as the athletics department intern at Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Jefferson earned his bachelor of science degree in sport management from BGSU in May of 2010, and he was a student manager for the men’s basketball team in his junior and senior years. Jefferson received a master of arts degree in sport management from ETSU in May of 2013.
