Women's Swim Team Wins At Metro State

(Oct. 28) - The Air Force women's swim team defeated Metro State College, 133-33, Friday in its first dual meet of the 2000-01 season.

Junior Christine Cleaver captured three races for the Falcons with victories in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races. She was also a member of the winning 400-yard medley relay team with freshman Lindsay Bauer, sophomore Erin Mukri and junior Karley Kroschel.

Bauer added an individual victory in the 1,000 freestyle, while freshman Carley Baxter (200 freestyle), sophomore Jaime Koller (200 individual medley), freshman Sara Crowell (200 butterfly), freshman Lindsay Schafer (200 backstroke) and sophomore Ellen Stimmel (500 freestyle) also gathered individual wins for the Falcons.

Air Force returns home for its first home meet of the season on Saturday, Oct. 28, against Colorado School of Mines in the Cadet Natatorium.
