Falcons Fall To Nebraska In Home Meet

Air Force fell to Nebraska, 31-13, Friday night in its first home meet of the season. C1C (Sr.) Andrew Peters was pinned in the first match of the evening by sophomore Joey Malia at 133 pounds. The first Falcon win of the evening came when C1C Scott Forhardt scored an impressive 14-5 victory over sophomore Jeremy Baker at 149 pounds. C1C Terry Parham wrestled a tremendous match at 184 pounds, up from his usual 174-pound weight class, only to lose 10-7 to freshman Travis Pascoe. The final Air Force win of the evening came after an outstanding performance by C2C Kevin Hoy. Hoy handled his opponent to a decisive 8-2 victory over junior Pat Miron in the second to last match of the evening.
The Falcons are now 1-2 in dual meet competition and will resume their season Jan. 11 at the Oregon Classic.
