Air Force Downs Wyoming, 3-0

U.S.A.F.A., Colo.- Freshman Raegan McDowell scored an unassisted goal in the 67th minute for the Falcons to shut out Wyoming, 3-0, in a conference match Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Cadet Soccer Stadium.
Senior Wendy Emminger opened up the scoring for Air Force when she drifted a shot by the Cowgirls' goalie late in the third minute. The Falcons outshot Wyoming, 7-3, in the first period in an otherwise evenly matched first half.
The Cowgirls came out strong in the second half but gave up another goal to Air Force when sophomore Jennifer Rowland scored in the 49th minute with an assist from senior Mary Cholko. Wyoming outshot the Falcons 10-8 in the second half but was unable to score on any of its opportunities.
In goal, junior J.J. Wolf tallied her third shutout of the season for Air Force with fives saves for the game. Lori Scheider also had five saves in goal for Wyoming.
The Falcons improved 7-11 overall and 2-4 in Mountain West Conference play. Air Force travels to the MWC Tournament, Nov. 6-9, in Provo, UT.
