Falcons Finish in 17th Place at New Mexico Tournament

The Air Force golf team started the season in disappointing fashion, finishing in 17th place out of 18 teams at New Mexico's Tucker Invitational. The team shot a three-round total of 909 (301-302-306). Chris Dieter had the best Falcon finish, tying for 46th place overall (75-76-74=225).
Host New Mexico won the event, finishing at even par (281-288-295=864). Michael Letzig of New Mexico took the individual title with a nine-under-par 207.
Air Force will look to rebound this week at the Falcon-Antigua Invitational. The 24-team tournament will take place Sept. 20-22 at the Academy's Eisenhower Golf Course.
