Air Force Defeats San Francisco, 3-2

Air Force knocked off San Francisco in a thrilling, five-game match, winning 3-2 (30-27, 22-30, 26-30, 30-26, 17-15) in the team's second game of the Falcon Invitational. The stage is set for the tournament final, as the Falcons will face unbeaten Hofstra in the final match of the event.
After winning the first game, the Falcons lost the next two. They battled back to win the final two games of the match.
"To comeback and win in five games is a mental stepping stone for our team," head coach Penny Lucas-White said. "They matured a lot in this match."
Delavane Diaz tied a season-high with 24 kills. Lamecca Jefferson added 12 kills and Kristin Hamlett had 11. Middle blocker Tiffany Bishop had 10 kills before leaving the game with an ankle injury. Her status is unknown for the next match. For the first time this season, three players finished in double figures in digs. Kristin Huitt led the team with 13 digs, and notched a double-double with 53 assists, tying a career-high. Brittany Edmonds added 12 digs and Elise Hickerson had 10.
