Air Force Downs Denver in Men's Swimming

Air Force defeated Denver, 125-101, Saturday afternoon in a men's swimming meet in Denver. John Dayton paced the Falcons with wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:45.10) and the 100-yard butterfly (52.01). Other individual event winners for the Falcons included Rory Peterson in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:00.72), Eric Pounds in the 400yard IM (4:12.09), Evan Parr in the 100-yard backstroke (53.31), Ryan Fitzgerald in the 500-yard freestyle (4:49.05) and Brady Lindberg in one-meter diving (214.73). The 200-yard medley relay team of Paul Brehm, Patrick Vandam, David Parker and Gordon White also won in a time of 1:36.67.
The victory comes just two days after Air Force upset national power Washington, 123-113, on Thursday and improves the team to 9-1 overall.
