Saks Promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director

Mike Saks has been promoted to senior associate athletic director at the Air Force Academy, according to Director of Athletics Col. Randall Spetman. Saks had been serving as the associate athletic director for finance for three years. In the new position, Saks will oversee the entire athletic business operation, including concessions and gift shops, marketing and development and manage the day-to-day operations for revenue sports.
Saks is a 1994 graduate of the Academy where he was a two-year letterman in baseball. Following graduation, Saks was assigned to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio where he served as comptroller for the aeronautical systems center as well as executive officer for the director of special operation forces. Saks then served as the director of finances at Buckley Air National Guard in Denver for one year before joining the staff at the Academy in 1997 as an assistant baseball coach and director of financial resources in the athletic department.
