Graddy, Martin Named MWC Football Players of the Week

Air Force seniors football players Marchello Graddy and Andrew Martin have been named Mountain West Conference players of the week for their efforts in the Falcons' 24-7 win over UNLV last weekend.
Graddy, a Wrightsville, Ga., native earned the defensive player of the week honor. Graddy recorded a team-high 12 tackles and had two quarterback sacks. He also provided constant pressure on UNLV quarterback Kurt Nantkes as the Falcons held the Rebels to just 84 yards passing and 250 total yards. Wright leads the conference in tackles with a 10.7 per-game average and sacks with five. This is the first MWC honor of his career.
Martin, a native of Lucas, Ohio, earned the special teams player of the week honor. Martin punted five times for a 47.6 average. His game-long 65-yarder punt was muffed at the UNLV six-yardline and recovered in the end zone for an AFA touchdown. Martin leads the MWC in punting this season with a 46.1 average. AFA leads the nation in net punting with a 45.1 norm. This is the second time this season Martin has won the weekly honor. He also won the award for his efforts against BYU.
