Gates to the Air Force Academy open to the public at 9 a.m., Saturday, to allow fans to access to Falcon Stadium prior to the Air Force Academy vs. University of Nevada-Las Vegas football game.
Kickoff is at 1:05 p.m., as the Air Force Academy Falcons (5-1, 2-0 MWC) face one of their Mountain West Conference rivals, the University of Nevada-Las Vegas Rebels (4-1, 0-0 MWC).
When the Academy hosts home football games, gates open 4 hours prior to kickoff, while Fanfest starts 3 hours prior and the gates to Falcon Stadium open 2 ? hours prior to the kickoff.
For this Saturday's game, Fanfest starts at 10 a.m. and access inside Falcon Stadium begins at 10:30 a.m. Fans who wish to tailgate are welcome and encouraged to do so prior to the game and for three hours after it ends. Department of Defense ID-cardholders and those they sponsor may tailgate beyond the three-hour limit.
Access to the public areas of the base (Chapel, Visitor Center, Field House, athletic fields, north campus overlooks) also begins at 9 a.m. on game days. The Visitor Center opens at 9 a.m. Visitors not planning to attend football games must use the Academy's North Gate to get to the Visitor Center in order to avoid stadium traffic.
