BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Tim Keller scored 13 of his 16 points in the second half to lead Air Force to a 59-46 victory over Prairie View in the opener of the Office Depot Golden Bear Classic on Saturday night.
The Falcons (5-2) led 31-27 in the second half when they went on a 15-4 run that sealed the win. Keller completed the run with back-to-back 3-pointers that gave Air Force a 46-31 lead with 7:29 to play.
Prairie View (0-8) was led by Kevin Cooper's 20 points.
Jacob Burtschi had 11 points and six rebounds for the Falcons, and hit a 3-pointer during the crucial second-half run. Antoine Hood also had 11 points for the Falcons.
Air Force overcame a 35-21 Prairie View rebounding edge to win its third straight game.
The Falcons used a long-range attack, hitting 11-of-29 from beyond the 3-point line.
