Falcons Shut Out UC Riverside and Point Loma

The Air Force men's tennis team improved to 7-1 this season with a pair of shutout victories on the road. The Falcons defeated UC Riverside, 7-0, on Sunday, then beat NAIA opponent Point Loma Nazarene University, 9-0, on Monday.
Freshman Shannon Buck remained undefeated with a pair of 6-1, 6-1 wins. Only one of the Falcon's singles matches went three-sets, as sophomore Tyler McClung won the No. 3 match against Matt Copland of Point Loma, 7-5, 2-6, 10-4. Junior Patrick Jackson picked up his first dual win of the season, defeating Josh Cowan of Point Loma, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 6 singles.
Air Force easily swept the doubles in both matches. McClung teamed with Eric Pittman to win both matches at No. 1 doubles.
Air Force returns home for a match against Sacramento State on Saturday, Feb. 22 beginning at 10 a.m.
