Air Force Wraps Play Wednesday At ITA Fall Mountain Regional

Air Force men's tennis completed competition Wednesday at the ITA Div. I Men's Mountain Regional Championship on the Brigham Young University campus in Provo, Utah. Air Force posted five wins on the day, led by the doubles pair of Langdon Tingleaf and Muyang Yi.

Tingleaf and Yi made it to the round of 16 in doubles. The pair won their round of 32 match over Leon Paranovic/Yubel Ubri of BYU 8-7 (10-8). They then dropped their round of 16 match to three-seed Xavier Calvelo/Jakub Medved of Utah State 8-5.

In singles, Tingleaf and Alec Fritzinger dropped their round of 64 matches. Tingleaf fell in three sets to 14-seed Sdamuel Rovai of Denver. Fritzinger fell to AJ Deem of Utah.

Air Force came away with four extra match wins in singles. Tyler Leaird, Sebastian Mazur, Caden Lee and Kai Stolaruck earned singles wins.

Head coach Evan Urbina recapping regionals:
"After this tournament, the first half of our fall season has finished. As a collective, we have some positives to build on: our doubles improved, we're getting off to good starts, and our depth as a team is solid. We have some focus areas: serving better in big moments, finishing points at the net, and preparing for longer matches that test our mental and physical reserves. It was great to see Sebastian and Kai play some of their best tennis, and Langdon and Muyang remain a solid doubles team for us. We will use this training block to prepare for the last couple tournaments of the fall. Go Falcons!"

Air Force returns to action Oct. 21 at the Mountain West Fall Individual Championships, held in Las Vegas.
