BYU Shuts Out Air Force, 7-0

The Air Force women's tennis team lost its second Mountain West Conference match in as many days Friday, falling to #57 Brigham Young, 7-0, in Albuquerque, NM. The Falcons overall record is even at 10-10 overall and 0-4 in league play.
Air Force's No. 1 doubles team of Laura Nigro and Gina Black won the only individual match for the Falcons, defeating Liza Klempner and Dominique Reynolds, 8-5. BYU won the No. 2 and 3 matches, however, to capture the doubles point.
Falcon freshman Kat Bushey played the best singles match for Air Force, winning the first set against BYU's Olga Boulytcheva in the No. 3 match before falling 3-6, 6-4, 6-0. BYU won the other five singles matches in straight sets, including Klempner beating Nigro, 7-5, 6-0, at the No. 1 slot.
The Falcons continue MWC play on Saturday, March 29 against Utah at 10 a.m. in Albuquerque.
