Falcon Stadium Restrictions Set

Air Force opens the 2003 football season this Saturday, Aug. 30, by hosting Wofford College at noon in Falcon Stadium. The football game is the only sporting event open to the public this weekend.
Only Department of Defense identification card holders, parents of cadets with a vehicle access pass and media with proper credentials will be allowed to attend athletic events other than football.
Those events include the cross country team hosting the Air Force Open on Friday at 2:30 p.m. while the men's and women's soccer teams are in action on Friday and Sunday. The women's team hosts Northern Illinois at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and Fairfield at 10 a.m. on Sunday. The men's team hosts Gonzaga on Friday at 7 p.m. and Marquette at noon on Sunday. The water polo team also has its annual Blue-Silver scrimmage at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
For the football game Saturday, as well as all season, fans are advised that several stadium restrictions apply:
Air Force Academy entrance gates (North and South) open three hours prior to kickoff. Stadium gates open two and one-half hours prior to kickoff. All patrons entering the stadium, as well as their personal belongings, are subject to search. No re-entry is permitted.
The following items are not permitted in Falcon Stadium: weapons, backpacks, coolers, bags larger than 8x11 inches, any type of stick, poles or umbrellas, nontransparent items such as soda cans, thermos bottles, alcohol, glass bottles or any kind and artificial noisemakers of any kind.
Fans may bring in diaper bags, binoculars, camera or video cameras with the proper bags. Sealed plastic or transparent containers that are 20 ounces or less will also be allowed. If the bottle is not sealed, the contents must be emptied prior to entry.
