Air Force Defeats McNeese State, 3-1

The Air Force volleyball team defeated McNeese State 3-1 (30-25, 27-30, 30-20, 30-17) to remain unbeaten in the Air Force Invitational tournament. The Falcons will face Southern Mississippi in the championship match.
The Falcons leaned on the power hitting of Delavane Diaz, who tied a career high with 26 kills. It marks the third time this season that Diaz has reached 26 kills in a match. She also had 18 digs for the double-double, her second of the tournament.
Kristin Huitt, who leads the league in assists, notched 55 assists and nine digs in the win. Kristin Hamlett and Lamecca Jefferson each had 12 kills, while libero Jenalee Burke had 11 digs.
The Falcons face Southern Mississippi in the championship match at 7 p.m. The Golden Eagles, who are 9-1 on the season, defeated Navy 3-0 in the first match of the day.
