SAN DIEGO (AP) - Air Force added to its school record with its 13th-straight victory Saturday night, beating San Diego State 57-43.
The Falcons are 5-0 in the Mountain West Conference for the first time, and with the victory they have guaranteed their first winning season since 1977-78.
San Diego State has lost three in a row.
Sophomore guard Antoine Hood led four double-figure scorers for Air Force with 15 points.
Nick Welch added 11 points, six rebounds and five assists while A.J. Kuhle and Tim Keller had 10 points apiece for Air Force (15-2, 5-0).
The Falcons hit 11 three-pointers on the night with Kuhle connecting on three during an 18-10 run in the second half when Air Force broke away from a 32-32 tie.
Wesley Stokes had 12 points for San Diego State while Marcus Slaughter had 11, all in the second half.
Aerick Sanders, the Aztecs' leading scorer and rebounder, scored just four points, all in the first half, and had just five rebounds.
San Diego State (11-9, 2-3) was 2-for-7 from behind the 3-point line while Air Force hit 11 of 26, including six of 11 in the second half.
Air Force had a 24-20 lead at halftime after a 9-2 run in the final 4:40.
The Falcons have held their opponents to less than 25 points in the first half in all 17 games this season.
