Air Force Sends Two Fencers to Junior Olympics

Two Air Force fencers qualified for the Junior Olympic Championships in Cleveland, Ohio. Ranked 32nd in US Fencing, freshman Jason Stockdale will compete in the under-20 men's epee category. Sophomore Alison Freiman will compete in the women's under-20 sabre. The competition venue is the Cleveland Convention Center.
Stockdale, Lansdowre, Penn., finished in the top 100 of his last two North American Cup events and was 35th in the Junior World Cup in November. Frieman from Teaneck, N.J. finished 53rd in the Division I juniors in January.

Men's Epee (Junior): Sunday, Feb. 15 at 8 a.m. Men's Foil (Junior): Monday, Feb. 16 at 8 a.m. Men's Saber (Junior): Friday, Feb. 13 at 8 a.m. Women's Epee (Junior): Monday, Feb. 15 at Noon Women's Foil (Junior): Sunday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. Women's Saber (Junior): Saturday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m.
