Air Force Loses 4-2 Decision to UNLV

The Air Force men's tennis team lost its third consecutive Mountain West Conference match Sunday with a 4-2 loss to the 70th-ranked UNLV Rebels in Albuquerque, N.M. The Rebels moved to 12-6 overall and 3-1 in the MWC while the Falcons fell to 12-11 and 0-3 in the league.
With both teams playing without their highly ranked singles stars, Air Force sophomore Trevor Johnson won the No. 1 singles match, defeating Aviram Salomon in three sets, 7-5, 2-6, 10-7. Freshman Sky Jensen won AFA's other match, winning the No. 5 contest, 6-4, 7-5 over Sean Margulis.
UNLV won the other four matches, all in straight sets. Romain Massaro snapped junior Tyler McClung's five-match winning streak, winning 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2, while Joel Kielbowicz defeated junior Chris Dong at the No. 3 spot, 6-1, 6-4. David DiMartino beat freshman Justin Lau, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 4 and Marko Blagojevic won the No. 6 match over freshman Robert Alexander, 6-1, 6-2.
With the match decided, doubles play was canceled.
