Denver Shuts Out Air Force, 7-0

The University of Denver blanked Air Force, 7-0, in women's tennis action on Wednesday afternoon at Stapleton Tennis Pavilion. The Pioneers swept all nine singles and doubles matches for their 13th consecutive win and fifth consecutive shutout. Air Force falls to 13-7 with the loss.
Denver won all six doubles matches in straight sets, with the closest match coming at the No. 1 position, where Yanick Dullens defeated Laura Nigro, 7-6, 6-2. The Pioneers only lost 22 games in 12 sets.
The Pioneers breezed to the doubles point with 8-5 victories at Nos. 1 and 2. Dullens and Maksovic beat Nigro and Black at No. 1, while Trettin and Kourim defeated Bushey and Walker at the No. 2 slot. Sackmaster and Marisa Mechem handed Tomkie and Vaccaro an 8-4 loss at No. 3.
Air Force resumes play in the Mountain West Conference this weekend with a pair of matches in Provo, Utah. The Falcons will play Utah on Friday, April 9 and BYU on Saturday, April 10. Both matches will begin at 10 a.m.
