McDowell and Nicolaides Named To Toys For Tots All-Tournament Team

All Air Force Academy home and away intercollegiate athletic events will be held as scheduled during the government shutdown. Funding for these events, along with travel/logistical support will be provided by the Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation (AFAAC). McDowell and Nicolaides Named To Toys For Tots All-Tournament Team

Falcons Raegan McDowell and Taryn Nicolaides were selected to the Toys for Tots / Military Academies Women's Soccer Classic All-Tournament Team for their outstanding play this past weekend in St. Louis, Mo.

McDowell, a junior forward, led Air Force (3-5-0) with six shots taken, five on goal including a career-high four shots on goal against Army. Nicolaides, a freshman midfielder, has started in all eight games for the Falcons.

Air Force went 0-2 in the tournament, falling 2-1 to Southeast Missouri State and 3-1 to Army.

The Falcons return to action Saturday, Sept. 25, taking on cross-town rival Colorado College at 1 p.m. at Stewart Field on the C.C. campus.
